I moved to Southeast Asia in 2014 and really started writing a year later first just blog posts for a food delivery company and an expat magazine, then for Vice.

Since those early (sweaty) days in Bangkok, I’ve had stories published in GQ, Los Angeles Times, WIRED, Bon Appétit, Food & Wine, Playboy, The Independent, Departures, Los Angeles Magazine, and Food Network, among others. My photography’s been published by the USA Today, PUNCH, Edible, and more. I’m currently a staff reporter for the Washington Post’s travel section, By The Way, and occasionally cover national news on the paper’s Go Team.
